Voluntown Economic Development Commission

Hello! Spring is just around the corner!

Our streetscape Phase 2 will begin in mid-April. The work area is along Church Street and in front of the Wood’s Package Store.

We plan to have a village clock set to the right side of the this triangle as you are headed east on Rte 138. Benches, Flowering trees and period street lights will accent this phase along with granite flush level curbing and re-direction of Church Street entry.

Please be notified that the selectmen have suspended the FAÇADE Program until we have completed both Phase 1 & 2. Unknown additional work discoveries may lie ahead that may require additional funding. This work should be completed by June this year and if the project comes in within budget we will be able to re-open the Façade program again.
